The Greatest Showman
Our newest Sire, Titran’s Quinnton made his TICA show debut this weekend at 11 months old. He comes from a long line of well-bred, champion Wegies from the great Titran’s cattery in the Netherlands, but was not shown as a kitten. At home we can him Quinn, Quinnton, Quinnie the Pooh, and other things. He is best buddies still with Pharaoh (hopefully that continues) and Logan. He has an incredible temperament and is so much fun to be around.
To get him ready for the show hall environment we have been socializing him by taking him places around town. He has frequented the local Sam’s Cats and Dogs store. He has made friends of many of the employees and was even featured on their social media page as a
guest. We have gone to Lowes and shopped for supplies and taken numerous car rides in hopes of conquering his motion sickness. I think he is mostly over that now, thank goodness.
We are very pleased to say that he had a good weekend. On Saturday morning we arrived at the show early had given him to time get acquainted with the new surroundings. We practiced going in and out for the show cages and transferring from the cage to the judge’s table. The result was that while he was a little nervous, he was not truly scared. He was selected for one All breed Final and received a 4th place out of approximately 42 other cats
of all breeds.
We are excited for what this next year holds for our new boy. A huge thank you to Christine at Prairie Sky Norwegian Forest Cats for helping me get him here to the US and his Breeder Renee at Titan’s Cattery for trusting us with this special boy.
